W’rtsil’ has announced the signing of its first operation and maintenance (O&M) contract for a coal-fired power plant in India.
A W’rtsil’ press release said the contract is for a 15MW coal-fired steam turbind power plant for a leading Indian cement producer.
The contract marks significant progress for W’rtsil’ in broadening the scope of its O&M agreements beyond oil- and gas-fired power plants, the release added.
W’rtsil’ signed its first O&M contract in India in 1998. The company’s portfolio of O&M contracts today covers 62 oil- or gas-fired power plants in India representing a total output of 652MW.
W’rtsil’ has nearly 150 O&M contracts for power plants around the world with an aggregate power output of roughly 2,600 MW.
