KUALA LUMPUR (AFX-ASIA) – ExxonMobil Malaysia expects to maintain its 23% market share of petroleum products, Esso Malaysia Bhd retail sales director Abu Hassan Seeni Abdul said.
Bernama news agency quoted Abu Hassan as saying the company plans to add about 15 new service stations every year to maintain its market position and will invest RM5 to 7 million in each station. (US$1=RM3.8).
The company operates Esso and Mobil petrol stations.
Esso Malaysia is planning to spend RM25 million to renovate 200 service stations, compared with RM30 million a year earlier.
ExxonMobil Malaysia subsidiaries operate a network of 570 service stations, the report said.
