(EnergyAsia, October 28, Wednesday) — Saudi Arabia’s state oil giant Aramco is set to award a contract to expand 12 bulk storage plants that will serve as major fuel distribution points across the country.

 Local firm MS al Suwaidi Industrial Services Company is said to be the frontrunner to win the contract for which a total of 12 firms submitted bids. Many large engineering firms from various countries took part in the bidding.

 The contract covers four plants in the northwest part of the kingdom and another four in the southwest as well as the Qatif and Hasba bulk plants in the east and the Qasim and Sulayyil plants in the central region.
