(EnergyAsia, October 31, Friday) — ‘Negotiating Successful Gas & LNG Contracts’ will be held in Singapore from November 11 to 14.

The gas and LNG markets are being deregulated around the world and growing rapidly, offering business opportunities for all stakeholders including government entities, producers, sellers, transporters and buyers. However, the high contract value, complicated commercial terms, fast-changing market conditions, and many other risks have made contract negotiating, dispute handling and risk management more challenging.

This advanced course provides practical and detailed training of all the critical terms and conditions in gas and LNG sales agreements.

Participants will be given a pre-course questionnaire that would help them raise specific concerns and questions. These will be addressed by the course director during the workshop.

The course will cover 13 modules which include LNG and gas sales contracts, contractual chain in gas development, current practices in gas and LNG sales contracts, price terms in LNG contracts, European gas markets, LNG sales in the US, dispute resolution, project financing, and risk management in gas projects.

A simulation exercise will be conducted to provide a detailed overview of these topics.

The course will be conducted by Anthony Way, director and managing partner of The Energy Contract Company.
