(EnergyAsia, April 10 2013, Wednesday) Canada’s Corsa Coal Corp said it has secured a long-term agreement to supply coal to South Korea’s Hyundai Steel Company.

This followed the successful trial shipments of a total of 40,000 tons of low-volatile coal by Corsa’s US subsidiary, Wilson Creek Energy to the Korean steel maker.

Don Charter, Corsa’s President and CEO, said:

“We are delighted to enter into this relationship with Hyundai Steel. This demonstrates the quality of the Wilson Creek low volatile coal we produce and the importance of this coal in the domestic and international market.”

The Toronto, Ontario-based company operates two subsidiaries, Wilson Creek Energy LLC and Maryland Energy Resources LLC, based in Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
