(EnergyAsia, March 2 2012, Friday) — Dyna-Mac Holdings Ltd, a Singapore-based provider of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services to the offshore oil and gas and marine construction sector, said it made a net profit of S$5.6 million for the seven-month period ended December 31 2011, down from S$12.3 million for the same period in 2010. (US$1=S$1.25).
Year-on-year revenue was also down, from S$99 million to S$49.7 million, due to the lower volume of work.
For the year under review, Dynamac said it undertook work on topsides fabrication for customers such as SBM Offshore N.V., Keppel Shipyard, Keppel FELS and Emerson.
Its ongoing projects, expected to be completed this year, include the fabrication of 21 topsides, a structural block of a jackup hull, a turret and nine piperacks for SBM Offshore NV, Keppel FELS, Modec and Bumi Armada.
Desmond Lim Tze Jong, DynaMac’s executive chairman and CEO, said:
“We will continue to execute on our strategy of organic expansion. Besides having a robust topside module tender book, we have also diversified into ad-hoc projects such as the fabrication of turret.”
