(EnergyAsia, July 16, Wednesday) — The ‘China Power Oil and Gas’ conference will be held in Guangzhou city, China from September 2 to 4.

Jointly organised by PennWell Corporation and the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME), the conference aims to bring together power, oil and gas companies, government agencies, engineering firms, traders and service providers.

The conference will address the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for the power industry in the region and China. The programme will focus on strategic and technical issues facing the industry.

Topics covered in the strategic track include securing energy supply sources, fuel suppliers, Chinese energy policy and legal framework, financing and investment issues, and strategies to combat climate change and promote energy efficiency.

The technical track will cover topics on clean coal power generation, boiler technology, offshore oil and gas technology, gas turbine technology and advanced technology transfer, environmental protection and renewable energy technology.

The event will also include an exhibition featuring the latest power, oil and gas technologies by the major players in the international and Chinese energy markets.
