(EnergyAsia, August 18, Monday) — Allegro, a leading Texas, US-based energy trading and risk management (ETRM) solutions provider, has appointed Brenton Smith as managing director of Asia Pacific.

With more than 20 years of experience in the IT application and software consulting industries, Mr Smith’s appointment will enhance Allegro’s ability to meet the specific needs of companies in Asia Pacific, and deliver the functionality and flexibility that drive customer success.

He was most recently the managing director of the Asia South region for CA, one of the world’s largest providers of IT management software, where he led high-performing, multinational sales teams. During his time at CA, Mr Snith also worked as VP of sales in Australia.

Before joining CA, he was the managing director in Australia and New Zealand for Business Objects Australia. Mr Smith also held roles at Siebel Systems Australia, Brightstor Information Technology Group, and SAP Australia.
