(EnergyAsia, January 21, Wednesday) — Coaltrans Conferences’ ‘22nd International Coal Supply Contracts and Transport Logistics’ will be held at the Hilton Hotel in Singapore from March 9 to 13.

The course aims to provide delegates with a complete overview of the coal supply chain – from mining and movement of coal to its end uses.

Topics covered include thermal coal and metallurgical coal markets, fundamentals of mining and quality control, and coal sale and purchase agreements.  The conference will also address issues on coal combustion, boiler performance, quality and analysis, emissions and carbon trading, legal aspects of transport agreements, coal trading, barge transport, and the shipping market.

Speakers at the conference include Gary Cochrane (Resource Management International), Pat Markey (globalCOAL), Alan Nye (Britmindo), Emanuele Novi (Masefield), Alistair Duffield (Holman Fenwick Willan), Ramanan Suryanarayan (GE Energy Asia), James Booker (PT Paiton Energy), Zefnat Anakotta (Inspectorate Indonesia), Bishal Thapa (ICF International), Damian Adams and Marcus Gordon (Watson, Farley & Williams LLP), Yulisaf Ramadhan (PT Mitra Bahtera Segarasejati) and Julian Hung (Pinguino Research).

A visit to Tanjung Bin power plant in Johor, Malaysia is scheduled on day four of the conference. Delegates are required to contact the organisers in advance to arrange for visas to enter Malaysia.
