The conference will discuss issues on exploration and production, natural gas, renewables, supply and demand of energy, social and environmental responsibilities, and the attraction and retention of talents.

A technical programme to highlight the scientific, technological and professional achievements of the industry will include high-level plenaries, interactive round tables and in-depth forums to address the challenges faced by the sector.

The exhibition which includes the Global Business Opportunities Centre (GBOC 2008), an area dedicated solely for the national committees of the World Petroleum Council’s members, is expected to attract more than 500 exhibitors.
